- broke his wrist snowboarding during the week of Smash's release, and is wearing a cast in the 'Come Out And Play' video; he shoved a stick in the cast at a show so he could play, and then broke his wrist again in the process
- went to school with Andrea Luna (Dexter's sister-in-law) who is the publicist for Nitro Records
- is a vegetarian
- has a side band called The Spinning Fish
- before The Offspring's first tour, Ron's mom made Dexter sign papers saying that he would take care of Ron (since he was only 16)
